Sword, Blade, Sidearm, Cavalry, Slavic, Latin Europe

The palasz (or pallash, palash or palasc) was a similar weapon used in Poland by the famed ‘Winged Hussars’ heavy cavalry, a very long, slim, strait (up to 46”) bladed sword, designed primarily for cutting. These were also popular across Europe, and were adopted by the Prussians, the Austrians, and later throughout the German Empire. The classic Pallash had a unique type of double-fullered blade.
